The word Reiki simply means ‘universal life force energy.’ A trained Reiki practitioner channels this energy to an individual in such a way that it helps the person achieve balance in body, mind and spirit. Although Reiki sessions are usually conducted in person, it is possible to send Reiki energy over space and time, and distance healings are very effective. A Reiki Session A trained Reiki practitioner places hands on or near a person’s body and channels the Reiki universal life energy. The client remains clothed throughout. The energy flows to the individual’s area of need without any conscious direction. (Some clients even fall asleep!) There’s no need to talk about the energy or direct the healing in any way. ‘Healing,’ in Reiki, means much more than alleviating physical symptoms or resolving problems. It also means a return to wholeness. Experiencing universal life energy through the hands of a Reiki practitioner helps you relax, regenerate and expand your intuitive abilities. With Reiki you can easily achieve a state of relaxation and a feeling of empowerment. She offers Usui and Karuna Reiki® workshops for Usui Reiki practitioners (Level Two or higher) several times a year, usually over the course of a two-day weekend.
